หมูกรอบทอด & ซอสศรีราชา

The photo shows หมูกรอบทอด which I had at an eatery in Central Pattaya, Thailand. หมูกรอบทอด is like deep-fried pork belly. It's a crispy one and goes very well with cold Thai beer. Normally, หมูกรอบทอด is served with some dipping sauce (Thai: นำ้จิ้ม, a.k.a. Nam chim), and the dipping sauce has a wide variety of ingredients depending on taste. My หมูกรอบทอด was served with some Sriracha sauce (Thai: ซอสศรีราชา). Speaking of Sriracha sauce, I really love to eat Thai omelette (Thai: ไข่เจียว) with Sriracha sauce. If you try once, you can't stop.

หน่อไม้ฝรั่งผัดกุ้ง

The photo shows หน่อไม้ฝรั่งผัดกุ้ง. It's a yummy Thai food which is  often translated as Stir-fried Asparagus and Thai Prawns. หน่อไม้ฝรั่ง means asparagus and asparagus is my all-time favourite vegetable. So I enjoyed the dinner at an eatery on Pattaya 3rd Road (Thai: พัทยาสาย 3) in Pattaya, Thailand. It was a boiling hot day and that evening was still very hot as usual. I ordered หน่อไม้ฝรั่งผัดกุ้ง and one more Thai veggie dish with some Thai white rice, and of course grabbed a cold one: A bottle of Singha.

Shortest walking I can remember.

I took this photo at the popular location so-called Pattaya View Point (Thai: จุดชมวิวเมืองพัทยา). It's on the top of a hill in South Pattaya, Thailand. If you get there, you'll enjoy viewing the crescent bay of the city of Pattaya exactly like the photo shows. What a lovely view. Since Pattaya View Point is on the top of the hill, I asked a motorbike taxi driver for a return trip. The motorbike taxi stand was right in front of my hotel. So I just crossed the street and asked the driver to take me there and take me back here. Shortest walking I can remember.

Splurge on tropical exotic atmosphere

I took this photo in the balcony of my hotel room in North Pattaya, Thailand. The hotel provided a large tropical garden-ish setting. My room was on the ground level and the balcony was faced to the large tropical garden. So the view from my balcony was just like the photo shows. Compare to South Pattaya and Central Pattaya, North Pattaya is I'd say much more like an upmarket resort, but a tropical exotic resort, so you'll definitely enjoy to splurge on a special treatment at a fancy spa or at a posh restaurant right on the beach. Something like that.

Well, I lined them up in the fridge.

I took this photo in my hotel room on Pattaya Soi 8 in Central Pattaya, Thailand. The photo shows a fridge in my room. I bought various cans of Thai beer and filled the fridge with them. It looks very Thai, so I took a photo of it. They look cute together, don't they? By the way, Pattaya Soi 8 is right in the middle of Central Pattaya. It's a narrow street, but it's usually crowded with happy tourists amongst the locals. All of the people who taking a stroll around Pattaya Soi 8 just look like fun loving people. That's Pattaya Soi 8 for you.

ข้าวมันไก่ @ Soi Lengkee, Pattaya

The photo shows Khao Man Gai (a.k.a. Hainanese Chicken Rice, Thai: ข้าวมันไก่) which I had for breakfast at a Khao Man Gai place on Soi Lengkee (Thai: ซอยเล้งกี่), Pattaya, Thailand. It was the departure day of my last trip in May. I had a cab reservation at 8:15 from my hotel to Suvarnabhumi International Airport. I found the Khao Man Gai place on the day before, and I had penciled in to have breakfast there before my departure. So I did so and I was totally right. The Khao Man Gai was really yummy as well as the dip and the soup. Unforgettable.

A sort of like outdoor wall decoration

I took this photo at a hotel located on Pattaya Soi 3 in North Pattaya, Thailand. I've stayed at the same hotel twice and had fantastic days there. Breakfast buffet was just fabulous. I especially loved to choose a kind of Thai stir-fried food with Thai fried rice, and enjoyed having various Thai fruits included rambutan (Thai: เงาะ) and papaya (Thai: มะละกอ) as dessert. Since the hotel was on Pattaya Soi 3, I really enjoyed very good accesses to North Pattaya's must-sees and North Pattaya beach. Oh, the hotel had a nice swimming pool and a swim-up bar on the rooftop.

Pattaya Walking Street : ถนนคนเดินพัทยา

I took this photo while I was taking a stroll around Walking Street in Pattaya, Thailand. This photo is not from my latest trip to Pattaya, but still. The photo is showing the atmosphere of the world-famous Walking Street pretty well. Walking Street is well known as a red-light district in South Pattaya, but there are also plenty of restaurants and bars and places to have fun in a way. It's called ถนนคนเดินพัทยา (Pronounce: Thanon Khon Doen Pattaya) in Thai language, but just say "Walking Street" is fine, 99% of the time in Pattaya I'm sure.

หอยลายผัดนำ้พริกเผา: Hoy Lay Pad Nam Prik Paw

The photo shows หอยลายผัดนำ้พริกเผา (Pronounce: Hoy Lay Pad Nam Prik Paw) which I had at my favourite restaurant on Pattaya Central Road in Pattaya, Thailand. หอยลายผัดนำ้พริกเผา is like Stir fried Clams with Thai Chili Paste. A yummy one. The Thai chile paste is called นำ้พริกเผา (Pronounce: Nam Prik Paw). It looks just like jam, but magical jam to make Thai food tastes lovely. I also love ข้าวผัดนำ้พริกเผา (Pronounce: Khao Pad Nam Prik Paw). It's like Stir-fried Rice with Nam Prik Paw.

แกงเขียวหวานไก่ : Green Curry with Chicken

The photo shows Kaeng Khiao Wan Gai, (Thai: แกงเขียวหวานไก่). Normally it's translated as Thai Green Curry with Chicken, and of course is one of the very well known Thai foods. Kaeng (Thai: แกง) means soup, Khiao (Thai: ขียว) means green, so it's called Green Curry just as it looks. The important ingredient is coconut milk and can be cooked with some meat as your choice. I ordered Green Curry with Chicken and some rice at my hotel's restaurant on Soi Buakhao in Pattaya, Thailand. Oh, Gai (Thai: ไก่) means chicken, by the way.

Thai-ish roof of an Irish pub in South Pattaya

I took this photo in front of an Irish pub in South Pattaya, Thailand. The Irish pub is located on Pattaya Second Road (a.k.a. Pattaya Sai 2, Thai: ถนนพัทยาสาย 2) nearby Royal Garden Plaza. I haven't dropped by to grab cold ones there, but not to mention I always want to visit there for a good beer and some food. It seems the Irish pub is a very popular place amongst the tourists, so I believe that I'll be able to have an unforgettable experience when I drop by. By the way, a reason why I took this photo was the roof. I thought that the roof looked so cool.

Ideal holiday plan : My version is like this

I took this photo at my hotel in North Pattaya, Thailand. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool with a nice swim-up bar in a garden-ish settings. Its name is Loma Resort & Spa. Since I saw one of those images of the hotel on Booking.com website, I couldn't stop thinking to get there, so I went to visit there for New Year Breaks and Holidays 2017. I love to fill my spare time at a dreamy location with a fantastic weather, so I was very happy to be there. The weather was perfect, staff was friendly, Thai beer was served at the right temperature at the fabulous swim-up bar. Ideal, wasn't it?

Watermelon smoothie: นำ้แตงโมปั่น

The photo shows my favourite Thai watermelon smoothie. It's called Nam Tengmo Pan (Thai: นำ้แตงโมปั่น) in Thailand. I enjoyed to drink it up at a swim-up bar of my hotel in North Pattaya, Thailand while the other pool-goers were enjoying floating or swimming in the water. Not to mention there are a wide variety of fruits in Thailand, so you can enjoy a lot of different fruits smoothies all over Thailand. My other favourite Thai fruits smoothies are Papaya smoothie (Thai: นำ้มะละกอปั่น) and Banana smoothie (Thai: นำ้กล้วยปั่น). They are to die for.

คอหมูย่าง : Grilled Pork Neck

The photo shows my favourite Thai Isan food คอหมูย่าง (Pronounce: Kor Moo Yang or Ko Moo Yang). I had it at an Isan restaurant in Pattaya, Thailand. คอหมูย่าง is often translated as Grilled Pork Neck in English term. I simply love Thai's spicy dipping sauce, and I also love the texture of pork neck. So for me คอหมูย่าง is like a match made in heaven. You might find another menus using pork neck in Thailand. ยำคอหมูย่าง (Pronounce: Yam Kor Moo Yang or Yam Ko Moo Yang), for example. It's like a spicy Thai salad with pork neck. If you order ยำคอหมูย่าง, Grilled Pork Neck will be served in salad style. Usually it's very spicy, but it's very yummy.

It is something to die for

I took this photo on Ko Lan (Thai: เกาะล้าน, a.k.a. Koh Lan or Coral Island), Thailand. Ko Lan is a beautiful island located where several kilometres away from Pattaya City and its beach. Viewing pristine clear water and white sand beach on a lounge chair on Ko Lan is one of the most popular half day plans for the tourists in Pattaya. I can see why. I loved the view from my lounge chair exactly like the photo shows. I enjoyed viewing that picture perfect beach with a bottle of Singha Beer in my hand. Spending time like that is something to die for.

Welcome

I took this photo at my hotel's entrance in Pattaya, Thailand. The hotel is located on Soi Buakhao (Thai: ซอยบัวขาว), and has very good accesses to everywhere I wanna visit in Pattaya, especially my favourite places in Central and South Pattaya. I chose to stay at the hotel on Soi Buakhao three times and spent 29 nights in total. I think I'll definitely keep coming back. I took this photo about three months ago during my last holiday in Pattaya. It took a bit of time to recognise those cute dolls were sitting at the entrance and welcoming the guests, but I did, finally. Hello there.

Khao Pad Pu : ข้าวผัดปู

The photo shows Khao Pad Pu (Thai: ข้าวผัดปู). It's like Crab Fried Rice in Thai style. That day in the morning, I took a double-decker ferry from Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya, Thailand and went to visit Ko Lan (Thai: เกาะล้าน, a.k.a. Koh Lan or Coral Island) for perfect sea views. Ko Lan is an island with beautiful white sand beaches, and not to mention it's a popular destination for tourists in Pattaya City. Shops and restaurants are streamlined on the island, so you'll find good places to eat and drink alongside of souvenir shops or something like that.
