Make a bicycle trip

I took this photo in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I can't read any Slovenian languages, but I guessed it was a street sign for bicycles. One of my acquaintances told me that he loved to make bicycle trips. He said when he was younger, he traveled around South East Asia by a bicycle. I prefer to walk around, but his stories were so much fun to hear. I was thinking why I haven't make a bicycle trip. Then now I kinda came up with a potential reason for that. It's just because I love drinking beer. When I drink beer, I can't ride a bicycle of course, so that was why.

If I missed the last gondola...

I took this photo in Lucerne, Switzerland. The photo shows Lucerne from above. I was on the way to my hotel on Mt. Pilatus by a gondola lift and I took this photo through the window. The town of Lucerne was so much fun to walk around, and I wanted to stay in the city as long as possible, but if I missed the last gondola which was going up to the top of Mt. Pilatus, I couldn't go back to my hotel. So I made a level-headed decision to catch a gondola before the last one. I really loved that town. See you next time, Lucerne...

กรุงเทพ - ศรีสะเกษ

I took this photo at Hua Lamphon Station (a.k.a. Bangkok Railway Station) in Bangkok, Thailand right before got on a train bound for Sisaket. I bought a second class train ticket from Hua Lamphon Station to Nakhon Ratchasima (a.k.a. Korat) and was ready to have a train journey. Before I went to the platform No. 10, I had Thai breakfast at a station food court. You can do a lot of things at Hua Lamphon Station. Of course there are cafes, a food court, on top of that, you can visit open-air barbers on platform No. 12. Check it out!

The world's largest gift shop

There was the world's largest gift shop nearby my hotel in Las Vegas, NV, the United States of America. It was really a large gift shop and had a lot of different kinds of souvenirs. There were so many must-sees in Vegas, and I thought the world's largest gift shop itself looked like one of the unique must-sees in Vegas. It was fun to shop around. Things I bought in Vegas were mostly clothes. A tank top with a huge American flag, a t-shirt with a huge American flag, a pair of pants with huge letters of VEGAS, and jackets with letters of LAS VEGAS. I love Las Vegas.

Take a stroll along the Prinsengracht

I took this photo in Amsterdam, Holland. It was early in the morning. I had a light breakfast with a large cup of coffee at a cafe nearby my hotel and after that took a stroll along the Prinsengracht (a.k.a. Price's Canal). It was raining, but it was all right, just drizzling. The Prinsengracht is one of a few main canals of Amsterdam's 17th-century canal ring area. As the 17th-century canal ring area was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site, I enjoyed taking in a lot of sights along the Prinsengracht and the other canals in Amsterdam.

Thai Silk

I took this photo in my hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand. A traditional Thai Silk cloth was folded carefully beautifully and decorated a bed tastefully. It was fascinating to see them. It was a five-star hotel on Rama III road. I choose that hotel often. The hotel provided a glass of welcome drink, a plate of welcome fruits, free Wi-Fi service, a wide variety of toiletries, a few bottles of drinking water, turndown service, and so on. The lobby was huge and gorgeous. I enjoyed to listen to live music of Thai traditional instrument at the lobby.

German breakfast buffet

I took this hotel in my hotel's lounge in Frankfurt, Germany. I had nice buffet breakfast there. I took colorful kinds of ham, cheese, veggie and some bread on a plate and enjoyed to have them with a few cups of coffee. The hotel was located right in front of Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof (Frankfurt main railway station), so there were so many choices of a place for breakfast, but I stayed in my hotel and had breakfast in the relaxing lounge. I had a good time with good meals before started a day in Frankfurt. Danke.

Portobello Road

I took this photo on Portobello Road in the Notting Hill district, London, England, the United Kingdom. Portobello is famous for its Portobello Road Market, not only that, but the street itself and the Nottig Hill district is very picturesque and so much fun to walk around. I went there on Sunday and spent about two and a half hours. For Sundays in England, I jotted down something special on my itinerary. The Sunday Roast. So after walking around Portobello Road in the Notting Hill, I went to a traditional British pub to have authentic Sunday Roast with pints of Stella Artois.

The Dead Sea; one in a million

I took this photo when I went to visit the Dead Sea in Israel. It was my second time to visit the Dead Sea. I joined a bus tour from the capital Tel Aviv just to spend for a half day around the Dead Sea. It was already in November, but still not too cold and I could enjoy floating on the Dead Sea. By the way, I've asked my acquaintance who was born in an English speaking country about the Dead Sea. My question was 'float on the Dead Sea' or 'float in the Dead Sea' which one is correct. He said on and in are correct in this case. Super.

Pinch me, it's like a dream...

I took this photo in my hotel's bathroom in Giza, Egypt. It was a luxurious five-star hotel with the Pyramids View fabulous Swimming pools and its swim-up bar and then some. In my humble opinion, everything inside of the hotel was like a different world. Totally. I mean everything was not similar to the cities or towns where I've been in Egypt. I really wanna stay there again, so when someone asks me that how Egypt was, I always explain about this gorgeous hotel near the Pyramids: Le Meridien Pyrmids. A dreamy place.

Sea turtles swam close to the shore

I took this photo in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. I saw a couple of sea turtles together near the shore. Both of them were large, and swam together. In Hikkaduwa, I had a lot of opportunities to watch sea turtles, but watching a couple of sea turtles together was just a rare experience. So I thought it was lucky, and they looked cute. After enjoyed walking on the white sand beach and watching sea turtles, I went to a Wine Shop to buy cans of Lion. The Wine Shop was actually across from the street from the beach where I saw those sea turtles.

Fire and Water Fountain at night

I took this photo in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2013. The photo shows a beautiful night view of Dizengoff Square Fountain (a.k.a. Fire and Water Foundtain). The fountain is situated in right in the middle of the Dizengoff Square. It was the night before my departure. My flight to Amsterdam, Holland was scheduled at 6:15 am, so I had to leave my hotel around 2:15 am. I enjoyed to walk at night, took some more photo in the capital of Israel, then got a nap for a while. After woke up, I had a cup of coffee at my hotel's dinning and took a cab to the airport.

A hotel on Soi 3 and its swimming pool

I took this photo at my hotel's swimming pool on Soi 3 in Pattaya, Thailand. The swimming pool was on the roof top of the hotel and had a swim-up bar as well. I've stayed in several hotels in Pattaya, Thailand, and had chosen this hotel twice. Since the hotel was located on Soi 3, a lot of attractions in South Pattaya just like world-famous walking street or somewhere around popular hangouts in that area were a little far away from the hotel (if you would like to get there on foot), but there were different interesting attractions near Soi 3, so I enjoyed the location in a way. Oh before I forget, buffet breakfast was included and everything was so yummy.

So many choices

I loved to take an afternoon break with Heineken in Amsterdam, Holland. While I was taking a break with a can of Heineken in my hotel room, I became a big fan of delicious Dutch cheese as well. Many kinds of Dutch cheese were stocked in the nearest supermarket from my hotel. The supermarket was named Albert Heijin. Seeing those Dutch cheese, I felt like a kid in a candy store and chose and bought a pack of cheese each time. It was a little too hard to chose only one pack of cheese from many kinds of cheese in good meaning. So many choice...

This is news to me

Not to mention I took this photo in Giza, Egypt. From right to left, larger two pyramids are the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure. According to an Egyptian pyramid's guide, the three smaller pyramids in front of the Pyramid of Menkaure are the Queens' pyramids. The Egyptian pyramid's guide also said that there are much more than hundred of pyramids in Egypt. It was news to me. I only knew about world-famous theree pyramids in Giza: The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure. One of the Seven Wonders of the World seemed like having a lot more secrets.

Wat Mahathat in the Ayutthaya Historical Park

I took this photo at Wat Mahathat in the Ayutthaya Historical Park in Ayutthaya, Thailand. Some parts of the Ayutthaya Historical Park are selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Wat Mahathat is one of the very important ruins of ancient city of Ayutthaya and the Ayutthaya Kingdom. Ayuttaya was the capital of Thailand (formerly known as Siam) from mid-14th century and it lasted more than 400 years. After that period, Thonburi Kingdom ruled the country until King Rama I relocated the capital to the other side of the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok.

The Coat of Arms of Zagreb

I took this photo in Zagreb, Croatia and the photo shows the Southern roof of the Church of St. Mark (a.k.a. St. Mark's Church). The eye-catching roof of the church were beautifully tiled and its Southern roof showed a huge image of the Coat of Arms of Zagreb. I really loved to see this church. St. Mark's Church is located in a square of the same name, and is also located right next to the Croatian Parliament. There were a lot of must-sees around that area and I visited there many times during my time in Zagreb.

A street scene in Lisbon, Portugal

I took this photo in Lisbon, Portugal right after visiting the Castle of São Jorge (Portuguese: Castelo de São Jorge). I really loved this kind of view in Portugal. I don't usually take photos of people, I'd rather want to take photos of street scenes, cuisine of different countries, plus a lot of low-key photos of something which I thought it was interesting, beautiful, unique, or special. I personally believe that a photo is not only a photo, it's also a memory. There were so many great street scenes in Portugal that I really wanted to take photos as memories.

A bar on the 108th floor

I took this photo at a bar on the 108th floor of the Stratosphere Tower in Vegas, NV, the United States of America. There were a lot of different bars and restaurants in the Stratosphere Tower and each place had different atmosphere and everywhere was fantastic. The bar on the 108th floor is named Air Bar and the view from there was just amazing. This is a day time view. I stayed in a hotel room of the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, so going up to the observation floors of the tower was free as a comp. Not to mention I enjoyed the fabulous comp many many times.

A statue of the Little Mermaid

I took this photo in Copenhagen, Denmark and the photo shows a bronze statue of the Little Mermaid. The statue of the Little Mermaid was sit in an isolated and very quiet area. The area is called Langelinie and its beautiful promenade is really relaxing. Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale of the same name is beyond famous, so I guessed the location of the Little Mermaid's statue was very crowded, but it wasn't. It was in mid-winter, in the middle of January, so the waterside was like freezing. I think that was why.

Lebanese Okra Stew served with rice

I took this photo at a Lebanese restaurant near London Paddington Station in London, England, the United Kingdom. I had fabulous Lebanese Stew with rice there. That night, I was in the mood for rice with something healthy, then I chose the Lebanese place. To be honest, it was my second time to have Lebanese food and still I didn't know much about Lebanese food. So I just said to staff that I wanted to eat rice with something healthy. They got my needs in a second and served this Lebanese food. It was kind of like stew with okra, tomatoes, and cilantro. I really loved it. It was like heaven on a plate.

What color is this?

I took this photo in Zagreb, Croatia. The stunning building painted yellow. Seeing this building and its color, reminds me of Schönbrunn Palace, in Vienna, Austria which painted in the color known as Habsburg Yellow or Maria Theresa Yellow nowadays. Speaking of yellow, when I visited Heineken Experience in Amsterdam, Holland, one of the clues tapped drew a draft Heineken from the tap and asked visitors what color Heineken was. A woman said yellow, and the others said gold. So, what color is this?

Being in the middle of a desert on a bus

I took this photo when I was on a bus to the Dead Sea, Israel. The bus departed from Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel and headed to Masada via Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. I joined a tour of BEIN HARIM in this case. Luckily, my seat was on the second row of the bus. After the bus stopped in Jerusalem for about less than half an hour, then continued to drive toward the Dead Sea, views from the front window of the bus looked really fantastic, so I took a lot of photos like this. It seemed like the bus was going to go to the deep inside of the Judaean Desert.

A control power switch of a ceiling fan

I took this photo in my hotel room in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The room was spacious and has a huge ceiling fan. I could turn up or turn down the  power of the ceiling fan using the power switch on the wall. My final destination was a village on the Southern coast of Sri Lanka, so I had only a few nights in the capital Colombo. I took tuk-tuks to look around the city, and also just relaxed in a park along the shore. The park is called Galle Face Green and is known as a hangout for couples, school kids, families and so on. I didn't see a lot of tourists, though.

Yeah, probably.

I took this photo in Amsterdam, Holland. That day, I had a huge lunch at nice and friendly Mexican place near the Leidseplein (a.k.a. Leiden Square). So I wasn't hungry at night and just took a stroll around the city of Amsterdam and took a lot of photos like this. That morning, when I was waiting in a line in front of Anne Frank House, a guy from a Spanish place started to handed out a flyer to some people in the long line. The guy skipped me and handed a flyer to a couple of Americans who waited in the line right behind me. One of the Americans said that there were so many restaurant in Amsterdam, and the other one agreed about that and changed the subject. I guess the guy from a Spanish place made a wrong choice to hand out the flyer. If he gave it to me...., yeah, probably.
