I was a bit peckish
The photo shows one of the cityscape in Copenhagen, Denmark. Back when I was taking a stroll around the city to choose a place to eat light lunch. After morning buffet at my hotel, I dressed in cold weather gear and got out of the hotel to see the Little Mermaid statue in the harbor near the place named Langelinie promenade. Then after that I visited Amalienborg palace to see the changing of the guard which takes place everyday at noon. I took this photo after I left the palace. I felt a bit peckish and was thinking what to eat for lunch. Then, a guy who handed out menus on the street handed me a menu. I looked at the menu on the hoof, and returned to the place of the little paper menu.

When I was in a hotel room in Kandy, Sri Lanka...
I took this photo at my hotel room in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Before I arrived to the hotel, I departed from my hotel in Negombo early in the morning and visited Pinawala Elephant Orphanage to see the wounded or broken-hearted elephants. Then after that, I visited Peradeniya Botanical Gardens for to see lots and lots of tropical flowers, and finally arrived to the hotel. I was beat in a way and I needed to have a nap. But before that, I wanted to take a photo of my hotel room. The room was cosy, and had touch of Sri Lanka quite a lot. The two shingle beds were juxtaposed to each other and a mosquito net was hanged down from the ceiling. Not only that but, I loved the fan on the ceiling; I want to show you the photo of the fan on the ceiling some time soon. The picture on the wall reminded me of Sigiriya ladies. I love Sri Lanka very much.

Let's hit the road
I took this photo in Betws-y-Coed in North Wales, the United Kingdom. Back when I stayed in Liverpool, England, and from there, I visited Conwy, Caernarfon, then drove through Snowdonia National Park, Llanberis Pass and then some by coach. When the coach dropped by Betws-y-Coed, I had lunch at a sandwich place and after that looked around the town for a while. The photo shows an area in front of the railway station. The railway station is known as bus interchange.

Clean your feet before you leave
I took this photo on a beach of Tel Aviv, Israel. It was a couple of days before my birthday and was also my last day in Israel. I had such a relaxing day on the beach and was going to go back to my hotel to pack up, reserve a cab to the airport, have a nap, and then leave Israel to Cairo, Egypt. To be honest, this photo was my last photo in Israel. The photo shows what? I think I took a photo of free shower on the beach which is used to wash sandy feet before people went back to their hotel or somewhere else. Cool. Thank you Israel.

My favorite vegetable roti
These are my favorite Sri Lankan food; vegetable roti. I really love them. I had them for breakfast in Negombo, Sri Lanka. Roti is like a Sri Lankan flat bread. Chefs toast roti on a big iron plate and put finely chopped spicy vegetable on roti which is kind of like a round-spreaded flat bread. Then, chefs fold each roti into a triangle and toast them a bit more until golden brown. One of my Sri Lankan acquaintances told me that Sri Lankan people don't eat rice for breakfast, they eat roti, appam, or string hoppers in the morning.

Let's cross that bridge when we come to it
I took this photo during my train trip from Copenhagen, Denmark to Malmö, Sweden. When the train was passing on the Öresund Bridge (Danish: Øresund Bridge), I took a short movie and some photos like this. The Öresund Bridge is a double-track railway and motorway across the Öresund strait and is the longest road-rail bridge in the European continent. When I took this photo, I mean I was on the train to Malmö, Sweden, I didn't have any information and maps about Malmö, but I didn't worry about anything. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Should I have gone on a shopping spree?
I've been to Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, California, the United States of America. The area is known as a filming location for loads of films, and I was looking forward to be there, then finally. Everything I've seen at Rodeo Drive looked fancy gorgeous, and luxurious even street lights were. I found such a beautiful street light with a couple of flower pots hanging around the lamppost. I took this photo near the famous N. RODEO DR and VIA RODEO street sign.

Prop up the bar
I took a photo of something famous when I was traveling around Germany by coach. It was in 2007, so I remembered very well about this logo and asked a driver if I could take a photo of it. Itinerary for the trip on May 11th was departed from Rothenburg area in the morning and headed to famous Neuschwanstein Castle near Fussen and after that taking a scenic drive toward Munich. In Munich after dinner, it wasn't on the itinerary, but I hopped on a S bahn to paint the town red at a famous beer hall near Marienplatz; a bustling central square of Munich, Germany. I've been to the beer hall before.

The two cities couldn't be more different
I took this photo in Pokhara, Nepal when I was walking toward Patale Chhango (a.k.a. Davi's Falls or Davis Falls). The clouds were hanging low at the sky exactly like the photo shows and it looked unusual for me, so I took a photo of it. Pokhara is the second "famous" city of Nepal at 827 meter elevation and is known as a picturesque place near the Himalayas. I'd say Nepali capital Kathmandu is a little too crowded than I expected, but Pokhara was quite different from Kathmandu even it was the second largest city of Nepal.

Is the red man a bit rounder than the green man?
I took this photo near Avenida Metro station in Lisbon, Portugal. That morning I was walking Avenida da Liberdade (a.k.a. Liberty Avenue) from the Marquess of Pombal Square toward Restauradores square. While I was waiting at the traffic light, I was thinking about Portuguese red light's sign looked a bit rounder than green's or something like that and took a photo of it. I wanted to treasure every seconds in beautiful Lisbon. Anyhow, Avenida da Liberdade is one of the most beautiful areas of the city, so I enjoyed walking.

Check one's blind spot
I took this photo in Venice, Italy while I was taking a gondola ride. Normally, this kind of mirrors are set on the streets and people see the mirrors to check their blind spots. However in Venice, Italy, I realized an interesting fact that this kind of mirrors are set on the walls above the Grand Canal at each corner to show the blind spot for Gondola men. There were so many gondolas in the Grand Canal and the canal seemed like having a traffic jam in a way. Without a doubt, the mirrors like this really comes in handy for gondolas.

The Pyramid of Menkaure
The photo shows the Pyramid of Menkaure and so-called "Queens' Pyramids" in Giza, Egypt. The Pyramid of Menkaure is known for the smallest of the world-famous three Pyramids of Giza, but still. It was huge when I saw it in front of my eyes. I visited the Giza Necropolis twice during my stay in Egypt for eight days. I took this photo on my first visit. To get there, I leaped on a back of a horse. On my second visit, I chose a camel to get there. Riding on camelback was way harder than mounting up on horseback.

The location could hardly be better
The photo shows a kid-sized bronze statue in Budapest, Hungary. The stature sits on the fence along the river Danube on the Pest side of Hungarian capital. Before my trip to Hungary, one of my Hungarian acquaintances had told me about a story of this stature that this is the Little Prince, and the Little Princess stature is in an art theatre, Tokyo, Japan. When I saw the statue with my own eyes, I realized that he is sitting the best place to relax along the river Danube with stunning Buda side in the background. Picture is worth a thousand words.

Tío Pepe ad @ the Puerta del Sol
I took a photo of something famous at the Puerta del Sol in Madrid, Spain. I've heard that the huge TIO PEPE advertisement was one of the most popular landmarks of the Puerta del Sol, so I thought I couldn't miss it. Actually, the advertisement looked so cute and I loved it. By the way, my hostal was really close to the Puerta del Sol, so I could caught a metro to get to Sol station from the airport. If so, I could save some money, but I caught a cab in that case. I was unusually tired a little, due to the airplane delay and then some.
