Naklua Soi 18: นาเกลือ ซอย 18

I took this photo right under the sign of Naklua Soi 18 (Thai: นาเกลือ ซอย 18, could be spelled Nakluea Soi 18) in Pattaya, Thailand. Naklua Soi 18 is one of the fun streets to explore around in North Pattaya with several eateries, Spas, pubs, convenience stores, pharmacies, and so on. This street ends up taking you to the beach. On the way to the beach, you can see the large German pub on the right hand side, the famous Paradise Spa on the left hand side, and finally you'll hit the popular "on the beach seafood place". It's there, right on the shore.

ลาบหมู กับ ข้าวเหนียว

The photo shows a perfect Thai breakfast which I had in Pattaya, Thailand. That time, I was staying at a hotel on Soi Buakhao. There were so many places for breakfast around the hotel. First of all, I wanted to do some ground research, so I walked around the area for a while. Then I found a very nice place for Thai breakfast on Soi Chaloem Phrakiat 25 (a.k.a. Soi Chaiyapoon). I had Laap Moo (Thai: ลาบหมู) with some Thai sticky rice (Thai: ข้าวเหนียว, Pronounce: Khao Niao) and some chicken soup. Everything was so yummy.

Electric lightning in Chinatown, Bangkok

I took this photo when I was taking a stroll around in Chinatown in Bangkok, Thailand five or six years ago. That time, I was staying  at a hotel right in the middle of Chinatown in Bangkok and was obsessed with taking photos of neon lightning and Chinese lanterns. I just wanted to capture the atmosphere of bustling Chinatown in Bangkok. I found a lot of photo opportunities at every corner of that area and I couldn't stop doing so. The good thing was my hotel was located right in the middle of Chinatown, so it was very convenient to do everything I wanted to do there.

Central Marina

I took this photo at Central Marina in Pattaya, Thailand. Central Marina is North Pattaya's brand-new shopping mall. There used to be a large shopping mall on Pattaya Second Road (a.k.a. Pattaya Sai 2). Yep, that's the one formerly known as Central Centre Pattaya. Then now, there it is. Central Marina. It's dramatically changed. First of all, I went to visit there to shop around at Big C Supercenter, and soon found out a lot of fun at brand-new Central Marina. I loved that marina-themed concept and facilities. A must visit site in North Pattaya.

กิน ผัดผักบุ้ง ที่ ผักบุ้งลอยฟ้า

I took this photo at Pak Boong Loy Fa Restaurant (Thai: ผัดผักบุ้งลอยฟ้า) in Pattaya, Thailand. The photo shows my favourite Thai food. It's like a stir-fried tropical vegetable and is called Pad Pak Boong or Pad Pak Boong Fai Daeng (Thai: ผัดผักบุ้ง or ผัดผักบุ้งไฟแดง). My favourite restaurant in Pattaya is a master of this. Today's title กิน ผัดผักบุ้ง ที่ ผักบุ้งลอยฟ้า means Eat Pad Pak Boong at Pak Boong Loy Far Restaurant. Pak Boong is often spelled Pak Bung as well. If a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, Pak Boong by any other name would taste as yummy.

I'll find out sooner or later anyway

I took this photo in North Pattaya, Thailand at the end of last year, actually it was the New Year's Eve 2017. A something really big construction was going on near the dolphin fountain. Nobody could see the construction site itself, but dreamy advertisement boards were catching passersby's attention all day every day. I just came back from there, and I'm not sure when I will visit Pattaya again, but I'm sure I'll visit Pattaya again, so I'll find out what was exactly going on around there sooner or later anyway.

View of Porto with beautiful Ponte Luís I

I took this photo in Gaia, Portugal. My favourite city in Europe. That night I went to Gaia district to listen to Fado with glasses of 20 years old Tawny Porto wine. After the fabulous show with great wine, I crossed Ponte Luís I and got back to Porto. Ponte Luís I is the double-decked metal arch styled bridge like the photo shows. Very beautiful bridge. Ponte Luís I is the world longest bridge of the same type. I especially loved its night view. The photo shows a night view of Porto from Gaia district with Ponte Luís I. Viewing this photo reminds me of a lot of fond memories in Porto.

TG660 BKK - HND; Jan 2017; Ice cream

The photo shows a cup of ice cream which was served together with an in-flight meal of Thai Airways International flight TG660 Bangkok, Thailand to Haneda, Tokyo (BKK - HND) in January 2017. It was about a five and a half-hour flight and was delayed an hour or so to wait connecting flights' passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The cup of ice cream was young coconut milk tea flavour (Thai: ชาเย็นมะพร้าวอ่อน), and its taste was like not too sweet and just right. Not to mention it was so yummy, and I loved it.

Resort-ish street in North Pattaya

I took this photo in North Pattaya, Thailand on my departure day. I called a cab to my hotel at 10:15 to get to Suvarnabhumi International Airport so I had enough time to walk around the area once again after breakfast so I did so. This photo was actually the last photo before I get back to the hotel to pick up my luggage and check-out procedure, and also this photo happened to be the last photo in town. The next photo was taken at Suvarnabhumi airport two and a half hours later right after I got through the immigration.

Pub. American-made.

I took this photo on Pattaya Beach Road in Pattaya, Thailand. There  are so many fun places lines up along side of Pattaya Beach Road. Many of the places are being there for long long time, some of the places are new ones, and the photo shows the latter. An American-made. If I were a guy, I'd definitely go there. 100%. But um... you know I went to a British Pub instead and grabbed a pint of Guinness and then grabbed a half pint of Guinness with roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, some veggies and top of that mouth-watering Gravy.

Shopping, Eating, and Spa

I'm in Pattaya, Thailand right now and today is already the 5th day of my vacation. This means tomorrow is the final day. Time really does fly, doesn't it? A good point is my flight is an afternoon flight and is scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi at 14:50, so I still have some time to enjoy this country much more on my leaving day as well. Since my arrival night, I've been going on a shopping-spree and it's almost done. Also, I've had foot massage for 1 hour, full body oil massage for 2 hours, and had facial treatment for 45 minutes, and I think had enough. For the rest of time, I just want to enjoy having yummy local cuisines. The photo shows the New Year's Eve Day's breakfast. It was outstanding.

หยุด 1 วัน นะด่ะ

I'm in Pattaya, Thailand right now. I took this photo in front of a local breakfast place on Naklua Road. The sign หยุด 1 วัน นะค่ะ means we are closed for 1 day. Well...yesterday, I had breakfast at this place and it was yummy so I went back this morning then found out this. I don't know this is because of the New Year's Day or Sunday, but this place is closed today anyway. So I walked a little bit further to north, and had breakfast at a local noodle place. The soup tasted just right and was absolutely yummy. A great start for the year 2017.
