Viewing Jomtien from Pattaya Park Tower

I took this photo six or seven years ago in Pattaya, Thailand. The photo shows a view of Jomtien Beach from Pattaya Park Tower. Pattaya Park Tower is the tallest structure in Thailand and is 240 meters tall. At that moment I was viewing that view near the top of the tower while I was enjoying to have buffet lunch at their revolving restaurant. Since the restaurant was a revolving restaurant, I could view a lot of different faces of Pattaya city from above. The photo shows Jomtien area and its beach. Jomtien Beach is located a few kilometre-south of Pattaya beach.

Look down the tropical garden

I took this photo in my hotel's balcony in Pattaya, Thailand in September 2015. The hotel was located on Soi Buakhao (Thai: ซอยบัวขาว) and my room was on the second floor. I loved to view that kind of tropical garden-ish settings from my balcony, so I enjoyed it so much. The swimming pool over there looked like a hidden oasis for only a selected few. Also, I could view a lot of tropical plants included some banana trees with a hand of bananas. I realised that there was a tiny visitor in my balcony, it had beautiful semi-transparent wings.

Sticky rice in a basket

The photo shows Thai sticky rice (Thai: ข้าวเหนียว, Pronounce: Khao Niao). I took this photo at a very nice eatery on Soi Chaloem Phrakiat 25 (a.k.a. Soi Chaiyapoon) in Pattaya, Thailand. When I stayed in a hotel on Soi Buakhao in September 2015, that eatery was my usual breakfast place. It's been decided from my first bite. My up-coming trip is 4 days away. I'm gonna stay in a hotel on Soi Buakhao, so hopefully I can go back to that eatery on Soi Chaloem Phrakiat 25 from the 2nd day of my trip. For breakfast, of course.

Featured sculpture of Suvarnabhumi Airport

I took this photo at Suvarnabhumi Airport (a.k.a. Bangkok International Airport, Thai: ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ, หรือ สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ) in Bangkok, Thailand, and this is one of my most favourite photos at Suvarnabhumi Airport (I'm using this photo as a desktop wallpaper on my iPad mini for quite a long time). Always at Suvarnabhumi Airport, always right after getting through the immigration, I saw a tall and large very Thai sculpture. The sculpture is in the area where is mostly busiest at the airport, and it's like a featured sculpture so it's very popular and always being surrounded by a lot of passengers. Under that crowded circumstances, this is my best photo so far.

T minus 7 days and counting

I took this photo in Pattaya, Thailand in March 2014. That time, I stayed in Pattaya for about three weeks and enjoyed the city itself,  delicious Thai cuisine, the fantastic weather, shopping, and everything so much more than my expectations. I will revisit Pattaya, in the middle of next week and will stay in Pattaya for 4 nights and 5 days. I booked my flights to and from Bangkok, Thailand and made a hotel reservation about two weeks ago, and since then I'm counting down the days to my departure. T minus 7 days and counting!

ยำกระเพาะหมู

The photo shows ยำกระเพาะหมู which I ordered at a popular local eatery in Pattaya, Thailand. ยำกระเพาะหมู is kind of like a Thai salad with pork tripe. If it's summer, and also if it's around 17:30 to 18:30 as temperatures slightly drop, but it's still hot, you might want to grab a cold one with some appetiser, in that case, ยำกระเพาะหมู is the best choice. Pork tripe has a unique texture, so if it's cooked as salad, it'll come to a variety of textures. ยำกระเพาะหมู and Thai beer are a match made in heaven, the hot temperature is the icing on the cake.

Hello, Mr., I'll see you next month.

I took this photo in front of Mickey D's Central Marina Branch in North Pattaya, Thailand. Central Marina is a fairly new shop, eat and drink district in North Pattaya, formerly known as just Central or Central Centre. Central Marina is a super cool place where I'll definitely go back during my up-coming trip in May. I'll go back there to shop (I'm 100% sure), and probably to eat and drink (now I'm still thinking, though). There are so many nice eateries and sports bars all over Pattaya, Thailand, so it may take some time to decide where to eat, where to drink, where to have fun.

Soi Post Office

The photo shows a view of hectic Pattaya Soi 13/2, a.k.a. Soi Post Office in South Pattaya, Thailand. Thai word Soi means street in English term. This street is known as Soi Post Office, just because there is a post office. Pretty simple. If you come from Pattaya Second Road, the post office is on the right, and if you walk pass the post office, you'll hit Pattaya Beach Road. Many kinds of eateries, pubs, massage parlours, and then some are lined up on the both sides of this street. Not to mention street view looks so different during the day and at night.

A stall on Soi Bua Khao

I took this photo in Pattaya, Thailand. When a walking along Soi Bua Khao (Thai: ซอยบัวขาว), I found a stall where I could buy my favourite Naem Yang (Thai: แหนมย่าง). Naem Yang is like grilled minced pork with a slightly sour taste. A very yummy food. So I asked to grill two of them. While I was waiting my Naem Yang were well grilled, I asked to take a photo of the stall. Everything looked yummy, and the grilled Naem Yang was absolutely delicious. My next trip to Pattaya has been confirmed, and I'll stay at a hotel on Soi Bua Khao. I can't wait to go back there.

My next trip has been confirmed

I took this photo in my hotel room in Pattaya, Thailand in September 2015. Last night, I managed to complete flights reservation to and from Bangkok, Thailand in the following month. I'll fly with Thai Airways International, my favourite airline company. My next trip will be from May 03, 2017 to May 07, 2017 and my destination will be usual Central Pattaya, Thailand. I booked a room at a hotel on Soi Buakhao. The hotel is where I've stayed three times during my past trips to Pattaya, Thailand. I took this photo during my last stay in the same hotel.

All's well that ends well sort of thing

I took this photo in Oxford, England, the United Kingdom. That day, after having a usual breakfast at my hotel in London, England, I went to London Paddington Station to get on a train to visit Oxford. Before that, I needed to get a train ticket. First of all, I tried to get a ticket from a vending machine, but my cc failed somehow. Perhaps the reason of the cc failure was showing on the screen, but if so, the lines were disappeared before I could read it. Well, I went to plan B and tried to get a ticket at a ticket office. There weren't any trouble with plan B. All's well that ends well sort of thing.

Rice and Curry in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka

I took this photo at a local eatery in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. Hikkaduwa is one of the popular beach towns on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. The photo shows Sri Lankan Rice and Curry. I went to the same eatery several times during my time in Hikkaduwa, and my oder was always Rice and Curry, but ingredients were changed day by day, so I was able to enjoy having a variety of local favourites, on top of that, I enjoyed sipping a cup of Sri Lankan tea after meals. I miss that relaxing afternoons.

Silver Lake Vineyard : ซิลเวอร์เลค วินยาร์ด

I took this photo when I visited Silver Lake Vineyard (Thai: ซิลเวอร์เลค วินยาร์ด) in the out skirts of Pattaya, Thailand. It's a vineyard with a great scenery and relaxing atmosphere and of course with fresh air. I enjoyed to be there much more than I have expected before I decided to visit there. Actually, my destination on that day was only the Buddha Mountain (a.k.a. Khao Chi Chan, Thai: เขาชีจรรย์), because I didn't know about Silver Lake Vineyard. And now, I want to visit Silver Lake Vineyard one more time during my next trip to Pattaya. I mean it was definitely a place worth visiting.

Fragrant soap

The photo shows my favourite bar soap which I always buy during my trip in Thailand. It has a fine fragrance and I love it. Generally, hotel's amenities includes a small bar soap and I use it mostly for hand washing, then I use the fine fragrance soap for my body. It may sound a bit of splurge, but it helps to make the most of my trip in Thailand. I was kinda planning to visit Thailand again in the following month, but seats are fully booked on some specific flights which I want to take. Outbound flights are available for a few more passengers, but it seems I won't be able to get a return flight. So maybe next time.

I've overslept, but I've gotten them.

The photo shows my midnight dinner in Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand. That day I had a 2-hour Thai full body massage during the daytime and strolled around Chinatown, Bangkok aimlessly and after that I decided to get some power nap before dusk. But I slept a bit longer than my expectation and woke up around 11 pm. I was staying at a hotel where was located deep inside of Chinatown and the hotel contained a very nice river view restaurant on the top floor, but it was too late to have a dinner there. Well I thought, cans of beer were already prepared in the fridge. So all I needed was food. Thai food, of course. I got out of the hotel and just turned left, turned left. The first food stall I hit was an Isan stall. It seemed like a place where I could get some yummy grilled chicken with spicy chilli sauce as well as Thai sticky rice (Thai: ข้าวเหนียว) and I was totally right. It cost 38THB for everything.
