This morning I crossed Ponte de D. Luis I (a.k.a. Dom Luis Bridge) over Rio Douro (the Douro River) and visited Via Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The bridge is a very beautiful metal arch type, and is walkable. I took this photo while I was walking on the bridge. As you can imagine from the photo, the bridge is very high, so if you are afraid of heights, it will be a bit of scary experience to go there, but the view from there is just breathtaking. I think you'd better go to see this stunning Porto from above.
