Kai Yang Khao Niaow Tod: ไก่ย่างข้าวเหนียวทอด
The photo shows Kai Yang Khao Niaow Tod (Thai: ไก่ย่างข้าวเหนียวทอด). It could be translated into English as Grilled Fried Chicken with Fried Thai Sticky Rice. Kai Yang (or Gai Yang, Thai: ไก่ย่าง) and Khao Niaow (Thai: ข้าวเหนียว) are a very popular food in Northeastern Thailand where the area being known as Isan (Thai: อีสาน). I took this photo in Pattaya, Thailand. Pattaya is a beach town a one-and-a-half hour drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport, but I found a nice Isan place there. I ordered a large bottle of Chang Beer and Grilled Fried Chicken with Fried Thai Sticky Rice (Thai: ไก่ย่างข้าวเหนียวทอด). They looked cute together on a plate, and tasted yummy, I loved that.
