It's in the outskirts of Pattaya

I took this photo when I visited Silver Lake Vineyard (Thai: ไร่องุ่นซิลเวอร์เลค) in the outskirts of Pattaya, Thailand. This is another popular tourist attraction you can enjoy in Pattaya. The place had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and the air was super clean. I wrote that 'in the outskirts of Pattaya, and is true. You need a car or a motorbike to get to Silver Lake Vineyard from Central Pattaya. Not to mention it was worth going, though. You can add some more interesting must-see sites in that area on the same day.

Tel Aviv at dusk: a view of palm trees and so on

I took this photo in Tel Aviv, Israel at dusk. I was walking on the beautiful board walk and took this photo during that. It was absolutely fabulous to walk around my favourite city at dusk. The sun had already set, but near the water horizon was still not completely dark. It was in November, but it was warm enough outside. After walking around for a while, I returned to my hotel to take some rest before dinner. A receptionist gave me a nice recommendation for a place to hangout at night and he was totally right. Thanks a lot.

Skyscrapers in Frankfurt am Main

I took this photo in Frankfurt, Germany. Looking up skyscrapers in Frankfurt am Main was one of my favorite attractions of the city. Look at this photo, these buildings are spectacular, aren't they? If you would like to go up to the top of a skyscraper in Frankfurt am Main, Main Tower is the place. You can go up / down by a high-tech lift and can see a 360-degree view of the city from above. The view from the top of Main Tower was amazing. I felt like I was viewing real Google satellite, you can imagine.

The sussex arms, Paddington, London

The photo shows a brilliant pub near Paddington Station in London, England, the United Kingdom. After a long-haul flight from Bangkok, Thailand, I caught an airport rail link: Heathrow Express to get to Paddinnton Station. My hotel was about a five-minute walk from the station. While I was walking on London Street from the station to my hotel, I was doing a bit of ground research to choose a nice place for a first pint of London Pride. The hotel was easy to find. I just crossed the street twice and it was on the right. I dropped-off my luggage in my room and made a beeline for the sussex arms. I really loved the lively atmosphere of the sussex arms so I visited there again and again.

Look out the window in Jerusalem, Israel

I took this photo in Jerusalem, Israel. It was early in the morning. Around that time of the day the city looked so white and was really beautiful. I loved this view from my hotel room. I was there in September. The temperature reached near 40 degrees in Celsius in the middle of the day, but early in the morning was not that hot. I mean it was hot, but not that hot. That time, I spent six nights seven days in Jerusalem and moved to Tel Aviv after that. Then I spent four days in the capital of Israel.

Chicken curry, Dal curry, Idiyappam, Pol Sambola

The photo shows Sri Lankan Breakfast. I took this photo at my hotel's restaurant in Colombo, Sri Lanka. I flew into Bandaranaike International Airport around midnight, and the next morning I decided to have breakfast at my hotel. Obviously, International Breakfast (like some bread and butter or something like that) was available, but I chose Sri Lankan Breakfast: Chicken curry, Dal curry, Idiyappam (a.k.a. String Hoppers), Pol Sambola (a.k.a. Coconut Sambol). On top of that, I had a pot of Ceylon tea as well. By the way, I was using this photo at the top of my blog as an image photo for a year or so, and I just changed the image to a new one. What do you think?

So I'm frugal

I took this photo in Milan Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Milano), Milan, Italy. I took stairs and went up to the roof of the cathedral. According to a price board at the bottom of the cathedral, the stairs had 250 steps and cost 7 EUR to take the stairs to the top. The list cost twice the price. Both sounded tempting, but normally I'm a bit of a frugal type of tourist, so I took stairs to the roof. It wasn't that hard to take 250 steps' stairs to the roof of MIlan Cathedral, it was rather enjoyable. After taking the stairs, I walked around the roof for a while and took many photos.

Bridge over canal

I took this photo in Amsterdam, Holland. A good time city Amsterdam; the capital of the Netherlands is also famous for its canals and its unique geography. The seventeenth-century canal ring area of Amsterdam is listed on a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it was so much fun to walk around along those historical canals night and day. I took a breath on bridges over canal or street corners off and on, then took a lot of photos like this. Seeing this photo reminds me a lot of Amsterdam and its breathtaking scenery with picturesque canals.

Cat statue sits on the stairs in Malmö, Sweden

I took this photo in Malmö, Sweden. I downed the stairs toward the canal and found some cat statues which looked like sitting on a step or walking along the canal. You can see one of them on this photo which looks like sitting on the stairs and staring into the city of Malmö from there. I don't know why there were some cat statues, but I took some photos of them. They looked so cute. Speaking of Sweden, one of my Canadian acquaintances told me about Ice Hotel in Sweden. According to him, Ice Hotel was fantastic where the place their guests can sleep on a romantic Ice Bed.

Good Time

I took this photo on Pattaya Walking Street, South Pattaya, Thailand. Yep, the world-famous street with so many bars, so many shops, so many restaurant, and of course with so many girls and boys. Some of the bars on Walking Street are themed bar like 'Ice Bar', also some of the places offer sea view tables, plus you can find sort of semi-fancy restaurants as well. Not only that, but you can see a lot of interesting performances on the street includes magical looking Turkish Ice Cream. Good times will be killing you. Have fun.

Karlovačko Crno with a candle

The photo shows my favorite Criatian stout beer Karlovačko Crno. I went to a traditional Croatian restaurant for dinner and it was my second time to choose the restaurant for dinner. Wait staff remembered me and allowed me to sit at a large table. The large table at the corner seemed like a table for a group of people, but he said it wouldn't get crowded that much, and allowed me to sit at there. Not only that, but he said he would give me better photo opportunities, then brought me a candle like the photo shows. Thanks a lot.

Multi-lingual tourist

I took this photo in Zurich, Switzerland. I don't remember this place was the place I bought Swiss souvenirs, but I remember that I was so exited to shop around cute Swiss souvenir shops in the city. Speaking of Switzerland, I've met a multi-lingual Swiss lady on Negombo beach, Sri Lanka. She was there on vacation and she asked me to watch her belongings while she went swim for a while. After she came back to the white sand beach, we introduced ourselves a little and talked about traveling around Sri Lanka. She said she spoke six different languages. Many people in her country are similar. A-mazing.

Must-see architecture

I took this photo at Belém Tower (Portuguese: Torre de Belém) in Belém district of Lisbon, Portugal; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There were a lot to see inside and outside of Belém tower as well as Belém district itself. A couple of famous other must-sees in Belém are the Hieronymites Monastery (a.k.a. Jerónimos Monastery); a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Monument to the Discoveries (Portuguese: Padrão dos Descobrimentos). All of them are located within walking distance of each other.

Snapshot of something famous and someone famous

I took this photo at the Puerta del Sol in Madrid, Spain. It was after my first lunch in the capital city of Spain. It was already five o'clock in the evening, but I felt like it was still in the middle of afternoon. The Puerta del Sol is one of the busiest hangouts in Madrid, and was always packed with people who were having fun and cheerful atmosphere. The locals seemed to be really enjoyed to be there, some of tourists were enjoying to take photos each other in front of the famous clock tower. I was surrounded by thousands of total strangers in a sea of people. Only one familiar face was this guy on the photo. Hello there, Mr. KFC.

Bear sculpture in Westbrook Walk, Alton

I took this photo in Alton, Hampshire, England, the United Kingdom. When I was walking around Westbrook Walk, I found a bear sculpture. I didn't know why the bear sculpture was there, but I took a photo by my iPad mini. While I was taking a photo, a local couple was looking at me and a guy of the couple asked me if I loved bears and he laughed. After my trip, I've shown this photo to my acquaintances. All of them called this sculpture as a bear. No one called this as a different animal. So the sculpture is definitely a bear sculpture. A super well-made one.

Spoor Gleis Voie Platform

I took this photo at Antwerpen Centraal (Antwerp Central Railway Station) in Antwerp, Belgium. I love train journeys. I have walked around a lot of stations in many different cities in the world. While I was walking around stations, I found out a lot of interesting additional services. Then I already learned that a station is not only for a place to catch a train, we can do a lot more. And of course I can find out a lot of cultural differences. There was a Belgian Waffle place in Antwerpen Centraal. Hello, Belgium.

Horses and grasses

I took this photo while I was heading to Bang Saen Beach in Chonburi province, Thailand. I was in a car and I saw a truck which was carrying horses and grasses. I didn't want to miss an opportunity to take a photo of them and made it. I think the most well-known district among tourists in Chonburi province is definitely Pattaya (I mean the city itself and beach and so on), but Bang Saen Beach is also a nice place to hang out. I went to the beach before sunset. After the beach I had dinner at a seaside restaurant and went back to Bangkok.

Piri Piri

I took this photo at a restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal. I've been to Portugal twice and spent 15 days in total. Like I say all the time everything I experienced in Portugal was so nice. Great people, delicious cuisine, beautiful scenery, good beer and a lot more. I really didn't want to leave Portugal, but I had to. The night before my early flight to Zagreb, Croatia, I walked around Lisbon for a long time and finally sit at a table of a Portuguese place. I chose an outside table on the street to enjoy feeling street atmosphere more while I was eating. Before my meals were served, a wait staff brought me a bottle of condiment and said this sauce wold go well with meals. The name of the condiment was 'Piri-Piri' and the bottle had images of chillies on it. I became a fan of Piri Piri during my last dinner in Lisbon. After that I've been telling everyone that Piri Piri sauce is one of the best things in Portugal. Don't miss it.

And they lived happily ever after...

I took this photo in Las Vegas, NV, the United States of America. I saw a lot of Wedding Chapels in Sin City and the photo shows one of them. This place was the nearest Wedding Chapel from my hotel so I walked through in front of their cute entrance quite a lot of times. I really wanted to see inside. I was just curious to see it, but I didn't have any reasons to get into the Wedding Chapel in Vegas, so I just took a photo of the chapel from outside instead. The pink door and the heart shaped white gate looked so pretty, and happy of course.

Staropramen Premium Beer

I took this photo in Zagreb, Croatia (not in Prague, the Czech Republic). I found a sign of Staropramen on a wall of a building and took this photo just for the Staropramen's sign. Staropramen is a brewery in the Czech Republic and the lager beer of the same name is one of the very popular beer in the Czech Republic, so I'm told. When I arrived in a hotel in Prague, the Czech Republic, the first thing I did was went to a mom-and-pop shop nearby my hotel to get some cans of beer. There were so many kinds of cans of beer in their fridge. I couldn't choose by myself, then Staff recommended to me four different tall boys. One of them was Staropramen. Good choice.

I had a great time at a traditional Dutch bistro

I took this photo at a traditional Dutch bistro near Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam, Holland. The bistro had a very nice bar belong in a warm well-decorated room. When I was having my first glass of draught beer, the lamp on the bar caught my eye. It looked really Amsterdam from my foreign perspective. So I asked staff if I could take a photo of it and I took this photo. Actually, this one is one of the most memorable photos that I took in Amsterdam, Holland. That's just because I had a really great time at that place. Staff, food, beer, atmosphere, everything was by far the best in Amsterdam. Thanks, Bistro Bij Ons, see you around!

FF manhole cover in Milan, Italy

I took this photo when I was walking in a street in Milan, Italy. There were so many beautiful buildings and displays in the city, so normally I looked up those buildings and so on. When I looked down the street, I found out that a manhole cover was like the photo shows. It had FF FF FF FF FF FF FF ..... Well, I'm not sure the manhole cover was made by FENDI or not, but I was exactly in Milan, Italy and Milan is famous for fashion, so maybe. I took a photo of the manhole cover to jog my memory about one of those maybes.

Lion look-alike fountain and Carmo Church

I took this photo in Porto, Portugal. There was a fountain near Carmo Church (Portuguese: Igreja dos Carmelitas or Igreja do Carmo) and the fountain was surrounded by statues of ideal creatures which looked like lions with great pair of wings. Those lion look-alike statues breath out water from their mouth. I took some photos of a combination of the lion look-alike fountain and Carmo Church. Carmo Church faces to Rua do Carmo and the fountain is right in the middle of a square in front of Carmo Church, so you can't miss it.

A token of Bangkok Airport Rail Link

The photo shows an orange token of Airport Rail Link in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok Airport Rail Link operates in between Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Phaya Thai Station. Suvarnabhumi Airport City Line stops at several stations on the way to / from Phaya Thai Station via Makkasan Station. Plus, there are two Suvarnabhumi Airport Express Lines to / from Makkasan Station or Phaya Thai Station. Makkasan Station and MRT (a.k.a. Bangkok Metro) Phetchaburi Station is connected via Skywalk. Phaya Thai Station links to a BTS (a.k.a. Bangkok Sky Train) station of the same name. 'City Line' is much cheaper than 'Express Lines', and there isn't enough room for luggage. 'Express Lines' are non-stop train services to each terminal station. So, choose the best line for your needs.

Guzzle a glass of Birra Moretti at a trattoria, Milan

The photo shows my very first Birra Moretti in Milan, Italy. I've had this Italian beer outside of Italy quite a lot of times, but this one was my first glass of Moretti in Milan, Italy, so I took a photo of it for my memory. I decided to have a late lunch at a trattoria and ordered a plate of cured raw beef for an appetizer and Spaghetti Aglio e Olio e Peperoncino (English: Spaghetti with garlic, oil, and chillies) for a main dish. Before eating, I started to drink Birra Moretti and felt really happy that I could be in Milan, Italy.

Guinness World Records Museum

I took this photo in front of the Guinness World Records Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. A statue of the tallest man in the world was standing in front of the entrance and was catching passers-by's attention. The name of the tallest man in the world was Robert Wadlow and his statue was life-size: 2.72 m. The museum looked unusual, so I bought an entrance ticket and entered into the museum. There, I red a lot about Guinness World Records and saw a wide variety of interesting displays relative to Guinness World records or Guinness World Records holders.

A statue of Saint George and the Dead Dragon

The photo shows a large statue of Saint George and the Dead Dragon in the Upper Town of Zagreb, Croatia near the Stone Gate. This is the one out of two statues of St. George and his horse in Zagreb, and is depicted after the epic battle with the tough Dragon. The upper town of Zagreb is also called Gornji Grad and is known as old part of Zagreb. I'd say the upper town of Zagreb is the most interesting sightseeing district of the capital of Croatia. The area was so beautiful, calm, relaxing, and enjoyable to walk around.

It's not only unique, it's one in a million

I took this photo in Tel Aviv, Israel. I don't know the name of the building, but I personally listed in this building as one of the unique ocean front architectures in Tel Aviv, Israel. I loved the shape of the building and I really wanted to go inside of the building. The building was on the Beach Road, and was located at the T-junction of the Beach Road and Trumpeldor Street near the post office, so you can't miss. Actually, my hotel was right around the corner from this building, so I used this building as my own landmark to turn right or turn left from the Beach Road to my hotel.

The World Trade Center Colombo

The photo shows the World Trade Center Colombo (a.k.a. WTC Colombo) in the Fort district, Colombo, Sri Lanka. A ticket office of Sri Lankan Airlines in on the third floor of the east tower of the World Trade Center Colombo, so I've been there. Since the World Trade Center Colombo is the tallest twin towers in Sri Lanka, looking up those buildings from the bottom of a tower was just fascinating. I couldn't say anything, but said wow. And of course, I took a photo like this. Then after that, I walked around the Fort for a while and caught a tuk-tuk to get back to my hotel.

Italian pay phones at the bottom of Milan Cathedral

I took this photo in Milan, Italy. There were International pay phones right under Milan Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Milano). Things you can do in Milan, Italy are quite a lot, but I guess everybody put Milan Cathedral on their list. I felt the same way as everybody does, so I visited there more than once. Other than visitting Milan Cathedral and seeing the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci on the wall of Santa Maria delle Grazie, things I really wanted to do in Milan, Italy was eating. I wanted to eat a lot of yummy Italian Cuisine as much as possible and I did, but i still wanna do it again.

สถานีรถไฟชุมทางถนนจิระ

I took this photo at Thanon Chira Junction Railway Station (Thai:สถานีรถไฟชุมทางถนนจิระ) in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. Thanon Chira Junction Railway Station is one out of two main stations in Nakhon Ratchasima (a.k.a. Korat) and is located closer to downtown Korat (a.k.a. the old city of Korat). On the other hand, Nakhon Ratchasima Railway Station (Thai: สถานีรถไฟนครราชสีมา) is located at the Western tip of the city of Korat. If you get out of the train at Nakhon Ratchasima Railway Station, it'll be a little too hard to walk to the old city of Korat and its old city gates, so you'd better catch a tuk-tuk to get to the old city of Korat.

Breakfast @ DJT

The photo shows unforgettable breakfast at DJT restaurant in Trump International Hotel, Las Vegas, NV, the United States of America. Everything I experienced in Trump Hotel was absolutely gorgeous and breakfast that I chose from their excellent menu was beautifully cooked and was really delicious. DJT restaurant in Trump International Hotel is one of the well-known restaurants in Sin City and is named after Mr. Donald Trump himself. I couldn't afford to have a dinner there, so I went to visit DJT for breakfast instead. The taste was so nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere as well.

Sagrada Familia Metro Station

I took this photo at Sagrada Familia Metro Station in Barcelona, Spain in October 2010. The station is the nearest station from the world-famous incomplete large architecture the Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, and is named after that. When I visited Barcelona, the Roman Catholic church was still under construction, but I could see a lot and could go inside as well. Works of Antoni Gaudi includes Sagrada Familia and so on is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site. I was in absolute awe to look up Sagrada Familia.

Turn onto the narrow street

I took this photo in Porto, Portugal. While I was walking around the city of Porto, I loved to turned onto narrow streets without looking at a city map. I just looked around the beautiful city and took a lot of photos like this. It was my second day in Porto, but my flight from Amsterdam, holland to Porto, Portugal was delayed and I didn't have time to walk around the city on my arrival night, so it was like my first day in Porto. Everything I saw in the city looked very interesting, beautiful, and I became a huge fan of Porto. I love Lisbon too, but I prefer to stay in Porto longer next time.

There are a lot to see in Israel

I took this photo in Tel Aviv, Israel. Last week, my acquaintance asked me what good about Israel was. This is my favorite topic to talk about. I've been to Israel twice, and spent 18 days in total. I went to visit Jerusalem, the Judean Desert, Qumran, Massada, Ein Gedi, the Dead Sea, Hadassah, Ein Kerem, Tel Aviv and its Old Jaffa. Not only that, but I drove through Israel with over view of Jordan, plus overlooked Jericho, Bethlehem, Ramalla in Israel. I would love to visit more sites in Israel and now I'm looking forward to see the completion of new high-speed railway lines. I wanna visit Israel again and want to take the brand new trains then.

Double-decker busses in a row

I took this photo in London, England, the United Kingdom. I saw hundreds of double-decker buses in the city of London, so I don't remember exactly where I took this photo, but if my memory is correct, it was somewhere in between Trafalgar Square and the Golden Jubilee Bridges. The Golden Jubilee Bridges is located within easy walking distance of Trafalgar Square. You can enjoy viewing great scenery of London from the bridge includes the London Eye, the Palace of Westminster and its famous clock tower and so on.

One of those sunset views in the middle of rainy season

I took this photo in Vientiane, Laos. I was walking along the Mekong River in the early evening and had a small talk with some locals and tourists. We talked about beautiful sunsets over the Mekong River. If it wasn't right in the middle of rainy season, we could view the sun set, but all we could see from there was that a heavily overcast sky just like the photo shows. It was relaxing, anyway. After that, I walked around the city for a while then had Laotian food dinner at a local restaurant with a bottle of Beer Lao.

A cup of coffee and a lot more

I took this photo in Luxembourg city, Luxembourg. I found this beautiful building right next to Luxembourg Railway Station. I didn't know what the building was, but there was a little sign of a cafe and it said 'Enjoy great coffee and so much more'. The sign also said Le Pavillon, so maybe it was the name of the cafe where you can enjoy great coffee and so much more. That reminds me. When I was younger, I've talked with a cafe owner who owned his cozy cafe in a commercial area. He said he believed that all of his guests came to visit his cafe not only for a cup of coffee, but they chose his place to not waste their time.

OU416 ZAG - FRA; Dec 2013

The photo shows an inflight-meal of Croatia Airlines flight OU416 Zagreb, Croatia to Frankfurt, Germany (ZAG - FRA). It was about an hour and a half flight and inflight meal was my favorite croissant. I enjoyed having it with a nice cup of coffee. It was sort of a short-flight, so there weren't so many things I did on the plane, but articles in the inflight magazine CROATIA were such interesting to read. I could learn more about Croatia from Croatians' perspective as well as foreigners' perspective and a lot of different articles made me love Croatia more and more.
