Most of the time in Vientiane, Laos, I enjoyed Laotian food and beer, but I did sightseeing as well as everyone else. The shiny golden That Luang was just gorgeous and the area surrounding That Luang looked so nice and I took pictures there. In my humble opinion, That Luang, Buddha Park (a.k.a. Wat Xieng Khuan) and the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge are a little far away from Nam Phou (English: fountain) in city center, so you'd better ask tuk-tuk drivers to get those places. On the other hand, Patuxai (a.k.a. Anousawari), Wat Ho Phra Keo and Talat Sao are within walking distance from Nam Phou.
