The photo shows the Chumphon Gate (Thai: ประตูชุมพล) in Nakhon Ratchasima (a.k.a. Korat), Thailand. The gate is located right behind the Statue of Thao Suranari. When I visited Nakhon Ratchasima for the first time, and also for the second time, my hotel was about a five-minute walk from the Chumphon Gate. My current accommodation is about a five-minute walk from the Ponlaan Gate (Thai:
ประตูพลล้าน), but I've been visiting the Chumphon Gate at least once a day since I arrived in Nakhon Ratchasima five days ago. The lay of the land is very simple here in Korat city centre. I just go straight from the Ponlaan Gate, then will reach the Chumphon Gate.
