The Blue Room of the Goethe House
I took this photo in the Goethe House in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Goethe House is used to be the family residence of a famous German poet and novelist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The house is known as the place where he was born and grew up until the age of 16. I visited there twice and learned how wealthy his family was. The photo shows a corner of the Blue Room on the ground floor. A black-ish furniture against the wall was used to be a heater. Since the Blue Room was next to the kitchen, the heat was coming from an oven of the kitchen where two maids cooked meals as directed by Goethe's mother.
