Coined phrase

The photo shows a street view of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. The town is in a Southern district of Germany and a part of so-called "the Romantic Road (Germany: Romantische Straße)". I've heard that "the Romantic Road" is a coined phrase or something like that, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I think that the naming is fit to the beautiful area and its scenery, though. Let's say for example, after Rothenburg ob der Tauber, I visited Füssen by coach. On the road, I saw a lot of lovely architectures and those buildings made me feel romantic.
