I personally believe that the staple food of Laos is rice, but I saw some eateries were selling bread. I've heard that it was referred from French colonial era, but I'm not sure. Anyway, this is one of my dinner. I had this dish at a restaurant near Nam Phou in Vientiane. It was just a normal sub and French fries, but went well with Beer Lao. Beer Lao is my favorite. I don't know I've been consuming how much Beer Lao since 2005 to now. It's hard to estimate exact number, but I just want to say it's too addictive.
